PU

Polyurethane is a thermoset that is commonly produced as foam (acoustic panels or foam mattresses), but also available as a hard-wearing solid plastic (shopping cart wheels or surface sealants). As it's part of the thermoset family, it cannot be reshaped by heat and is therefore difficult to recycle.

Use: Shopping cart wheels and surface sealants.

End of life (producer claim): Not recyclable.
