Flute
Commonly known as cardboard — flute is a family of fibre-based boards that have a layered structure and corrugated centre. This corrugation gives the material strength, and can vary in both thickness and density. Flute is available in many forms, and standard thicknesses can vary depending on the manufacturer. Exact thickness needs to be taken into account before production.
N flute — 0.4–0.8mm thick
F flute — 0.9–1.2mm thick
E flute — 1.2–2.0mm thick
B flute — 2.5–3.0mm thick
C flute — 3.5–4.0mm thick
A flute — 4.5–5.0mm thick
BE flute — 4.0–5.0mm thick (double corrugated centre)
BC flute — 6.0–7.0mm thick (double corrugated centre)
AB flute — 8.0–9.0mm thick (double corrugated centre)
